The Halifax County Landfill will be closed on Monday, December 25 and Tuesday, December 26 for the Christmas Holiday. Halifax County Landfill will also be closed on Monday, January 1, 2018 for the New Year’s Holiday. The Summit Convenience Site (9056 Hwy 158) will be closed on Sunday, December 24, 2017. Convenience Sites are always closed on Mondays and will resume normal schedule as of Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
Halifax County residential trash collection will not run on Christmas Day (Monday, Dec 25, 2017) or New Year’s Day (Monday, Jan 1, 2018). Collection for these holidays will occur on the following business day.
